Reception on the Occasion of the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia and Serbian Armed Forces Day – February 23, 2026 | Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union in Brussels

On the occasion of the Statehood Day and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Serbia, the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the EU, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to NATO jointly organized a reception at the Cercle Royal Gaulois in Brussels on February 23, 2026.

The guests were addressed by Danijel Apostolović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union; Aleksandar Tasić, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Belgium; Branimir Filipović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to NATO; and Milan Ranković, Military Representative of the Republic of Serbia to NATO and the European Union.

The reception was attended by ambassadors and permanent representatives of EU Member States, representatives of the European Commission, the European Council, the Committee of the Regions, and the European Economic and Social Committee, as well as numerous members of the academic and business communities in Brussels, media representatives, and members of the Serbian diaspora.

As part of the reception programme, a short promotional film was presented on the forthcoming specialised exhibition “EXPO 2027”, and guests had the opportunity to enjoy a rich selection of traditional Serbian cuisine and beverages.
